Bharat Punarnirman Dal (BPD) – a political Party founded by a group of former IITians and other educated youth from across the country is happy to announce its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Announcing the list of candidates in Lucknow, National President, Mr. Ajit Ashwalayan Shukla, who holds a degree of B.Tech. and M.Tech. from IIT Bombay said, “The last few years have seen the credibility of the current political set-up take a severe beating. Thanks to the coward and opportunist political class the morale of the anti-national elements is high and the ever increasing instances of daring terrorist acts have made a severe dent in the confidence of the public. The so called ‘secular’ parties are unable to provide solution to this menace. Moreover, the so called nationalist parties are just too busy churning out votes out of every such heinous act of terrorism. The people are looking for a change and BPD is fast emerging as a real and credible alternative.”
He further added that, “the Party shall be contesting atleast 20 seats all across the state and atleast 4o seats all across the country on the platform of good governance, restoration of ethics in politics and opposition to caste based reservation. The candidates for Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Banaras, East Delhi, South Delhi, Hyderabad and Bhuvneshwar have been finalized. Talks with other prospective candidates are on. Candidates for other seats including Deoria, Kushinagar and Gorakhpur will be announced very soon.” Releasing the list in Kanpur, Dr. Puneet Nath (UP State Chief General Secretary) said that, “the Party vehemently opposes the policy of reservations based on caste. This policy instead of achieving its intended results has divided country the most. The country needs more job opportunities and better development prospects not shallow promises of reservation and subsidies”.
Party Advisor, Dr. Sunil Saxena, speaking briefly upon the policies of the Party said that, “the party promises to deliver nothing free, except good governance. The public has gradually come to understand that the freebies, whether reservation or subsidies are much costlier in the longer run”. He further said that, “the state that has abundance of natural resources has not been able to provide employment to its millions of skilled youth. The youth of the State is forced to seek employment in other states, where they are subjected to step motherly treatment”. The Party, which began its foray in politics of Uttar Pradesh by contesting the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2007, received good response from the public. The Party that was founded with the objective of restoring ethics in politics also opposes the policy of reservation based on caste. The Party strongly supports a strong anti-terror law and abrogation of article – 370 of the Indian constitution. |
